 The Power Engineering Research Group (PERG), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia and UiTM IEEE Student Branch will be organizing The 1 st Power Engineering and Optimization Conference 2007 ( PEOCO2007) which will be held at the Shah Alam City, Malaysia on 30 May 2007. The aim of the conference is to provide engineers, academia and researchers with the opportunity to explore recent development, current practices and future trends in power engineering and optimization techniques. The Advanced Signal Processing (ASP) Research Group, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM and UiTM IEEE SB, are pleased to announce The 3rd International Colloquium on Signal Processing and its Applications which will be held at the beautiful historical Melaka City, Malaysia, 9-11 March 2007.
The colloquium will provide an excellent platform for knowledge exchange between researchers, scientists, academicians and engineers working in the areas of automation, process, scientific research and analysis. This event calls for local and international participations. |

 Universiti Teknologi MARA had participated for the first time at the International Trade Fair (IENA) held in Nuremberg, Germany. Apart from UiTM, participation by other universities from Malaysia includes Universiti Putera Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Universiti Islam Antarabangsa. IENA also saw 680 inventions being showcased by inventors and researchers from 32 countries which among others include Russia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Croatia, Iran and USA. |

 4th IEEE Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD 2006)
The 4th IEEE Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD 2006) was successfully held on 27-28 June 2006 at the Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam. The conference was organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and IEEE UiTM Students Branch. The theme of the conference is “Enhancing Electrical Engineering Research Excellence in the Region” and is targeted for students and young engineers from countries in Pacific Regions.
